You must remember
A temporary Florida health insurance plan is - temporary - (short term) If you need Florida heath insurance for a longer period of time you should NOT buy this policy.
A Florida temporary health insurance plan is for the short term. If you should become seriously ill or hospitalized while you are on a temporary health plan, you may probably will not be able to renew it. In addition, you will probably be ineligible for other Florida health insurance plans.
Remember, you can drop a so-called "permanent" plan any time you want.
If you need Florida health insurance for more than three years or so, don't take the chance with a Florida temporary insurance policy.
An important note:
If you apply online you will use a credit card, have the premium taken out of your checking account each month
or prepay. If you do not use a credit card, they will be waiting for a check for the initial premium.
Many folks apply online and never send in the check. If you use a checking account, they want the first month's payment directly from you. They will not draft the initial payment from your account. A credit card is the best way to pay for Florida temporary health insurance.
Our Experience
We have carried short term temporary Florida health insurance plans from many different Florida insurers in the past. Some were liberal with underwriting or could be held for a longer period of time.
We stopped working with them because many of those health insurance plans have either changed their standards or are not available.
So, we are sticking with one Florida insurer that gives us the best rates, the most complete coverage and has been in the temporary short term health insurance business for a long time.
The plans we offer also alow you to choose monthly payments or you can save money by paying yearly.
